98% of Chinese would reject receiving refugees: online poll

There is no Chinese city in my mind that compares to the two cities in any way imaginable. NYC is a global juggernaut only rivalled by London .
It depends on what you are talking about, the infrastructure in New York is pretty bad , I lived there for a year, but I agree that NYC's strength is not on the infrastructures.

.
And still both NYC and Paris are miles better than any chinese city with empty skyscrapers.
See China for yourself my friend, judge with your own eyes and experience if you can. Maybe its good maybe its bad, maybe its somewhere in between.

I had been to both the mega cities in China and the US, they are different. Many parts of China's large cities are still developing and the developed parts are active, vibrant and clean. Construction sites can be messy. Also the so called "ghost towns" are not common, the NE's 3rd and 4th tier cities has some of these districts due to the mining/steel boom and bust, other regions are fairly well off.

The average pay might not be as high as NYC but you will find saving money easier with a comparable lifestyle (it could also depend on your lifestyle). A smaller US city has affordable living but high paying jobs are more scarce since some high end industries tend to be concentrated in large cities. Not to bash NYC (its great in its own way) but the subways are not as clean compared to subways in China's mega-cities, some station can be very dirty. In NYC you will be bombarded by lights and there is a lot of activity, privately owned high end places are well kept. It is a vibrant city but in certain blocks, getting mugged is a common occurrence (in Manhattan) and overall not as safe as China's cities. Sometimes there are shady looking people/groups wondering around (and some people don't like to see their presence as a preference). Staying vigilant is key.

In NYC people like to stay in their bubbles because it is secure and comfortable, in Shanghai, Beijing or Shenzhen it isn't risky to venture out of it.
LMAO, some people do like shitholes.
Paris has beautiful architecture, cultural relics and the local French people are generally fashionable. It is worth the trip but living there is questionable (for various reasons). A lot of gypsies (they mainly hang around the hot spots) trying to steal your things in broad daylight and some Africans trying to sell you Eiffel towers (tend to be much friendlier than Gypsies). The streets are quite narrow, not exactly modern city planning but that would depend on preferences.

France overall is a decent place but it is not exactly the France of the 19th century that most Chinese have in their minds.

Quality of life ? Job prospects? Income? Entertainment ? Vibrancy ? Freedom ? Pollution? Housing ? Pretty much anything that comes to mind NYC is better by a distance. There is a reason US is the place where most immigrants want to go.

Both NYC and Paris are places where Chinese most immigrate to. France is a decent place?LOL . Mate they are better in any way imaginable than China. Health , Education , Quality of Air , Salaries , Social Support etc etc. China is a middle income country with a per capita that is 4-5 times less than both US and France.

As we Chinese here said, we donnot care those traitors at all. They chose to follow Dala and betrayed the country. In our eyes, even if you guys slaughter them all, we will feel irrevelant and donot have any drop of tear. Moreover, the police have deleted their files when they became traitors and they donot have Chinese citiziship decades ago. Are we clear now?
They are Chinese citizens who seek refuge in India. It doesn't matter what a communist regime does or says. Are we clear now?

They already have a territory inside India. Don't worry about them. If they like staying there, let them live a thousand year longer there.

Trump people with lower healthy life expenctancy than Chinese, do enjoy living in shitholes.

India is such a wonderfull place... for parasites, the Dalai Lama followers. Does Dalai Lama recognizes that he is a Chinese citizen? if not, neither are those his followers.

Maybe Macau and Singapre are the best in those regards,,they enjoy the highest income level in the world. Soft power is not China's strength yet.

US has a humungous population of 300 million and still manage a per capita of $60000. Pretty amazing if you ask me.

They were better before , they accouted for over half of the world GDP in the 1950's. Empires rise and fall during huamn history, nothing to be so surprised about.

.
What's wrong with that 2% people?
Should be deported.
You know 2% of China's population are Muslims.

Ethnic Chinese refugees, OK.
Others, no.

Different race and different culture refugees(or immigrants) are not just useless. They are time bombs. Rohangya Muslims were middle east immigrants hundreds years ago. The time bomb exploded in recent years.

We are happy to give shelter to persecuted minorities. Have been doing it since time immemorial.

Looks like the Communist party blocked the news - Dalai Lama has said he is fine with Tibet being part of China as far as long as the culture of Tibet is protected. Uncle Xi blocked this info?

All world leaders say the same, but that doesn't make them Chinese citizens. Dalai lama used to have the intention of join the Chinese communist party, but I don't know wether persoanlly he still consider himself a Chinese citizen or not, if he does, he should be suject to the Chinese laws.

You should invite him and ask him. Why are you so scared of him?

The protest in HK is just like a storm in the teapot, no national leaders take it serious. You can achieve any political goal without powerful force, all the Chinese know that. If the protest in Tiananmen square, maybe it could attract a little attraction of national leaders.
What the West want for the movement was to disrupt the peace in HK, as one of the world's financial centre. At best, they could have another Ukraine but they really underestimated the resolve of the centre government and the patience of HK police force. In reality, the movement itself actually bite back the western influence in HK. Just put it that way, people are now too tired for those endless debates, which many of them are ABC "anything but China". As for the normal protest, if you really know some of us, we are the one who like to complain and protest a lots.

It is unbelievable to see so many foreigners as high rank judges in HK. By the way, I am Cantonese. It is unaccpetable for us to see the law controlled by foreigners. Law is always made and controlled by political or some group, that is no absolute justice in the world. Law is so important that HKners must control their law.
I have nothing to say about it, because I find it very humiliating cause recently we just have three more foreigner judges into our High Court. Is it our own people that bad to hold the higher office in the High Court?
