What's new

90%+ of HK college students (90%+) willing to work on mainland-optimistic about the country's future

yeah, they let white policemen shot people to death directly on the street without any trial and saved a lot of money for Uncle Sam.

If you say substitute white police with Chinese police and chinese people with Uighur Muslims, your post will make sense.

So I can lecture you when I become American? I am not even in India anymore, and perhaps won't be an Indian for long.

Then your words may worth a penny. They say you can take an Indian out of India, but you can't take India out of an Indian. You will always an Indian, doesn't matter what nationality you hold. So why don't you care more for your Mother India instead?

Chinese don't come all the way to where they are today in someone's mercy. They fought and worked hard for what they are, and they will continue to fight their way out and up, doesn't matter how "bad shape" they are in at this moment.

When you see the absolute amounts, there are more Chinese immigrating abroad than Indians.

And you should learn something from America, it is the strength of America that it can attract skilled talent from all over the world!

In American companies, a majority of the talented engineers are foreign born.

If that is true, it only means there are more Chinese who are qualified or have means to immigrate to anywhere they want. Almost all ITT's graduates fight for a chance to immigrate to western countries, for that they would cheat/lie/borrow, that's why they take up 75% H1B visa in the US. So don't pretend Indians don't want to immigrate if they have a chance.

It's not in discussion here about America being a country of immigrates. The topic is HK youth want to work in Mainland China.

Why do you keep living in delusion?

Despite the fact that your country did so many mistakes in recent years due to which China is bearing the consequences, you still don't learn.

Firstly, most of these 140 million mentioned are tourists, who won't anyways be allowed to stay in their visiting countries.

Next, for the students and professionals, a high number of people choose to stay in the developed west in the higher bracket of talent.

That is people who are visiting the top universities in the US for STEM, and are the most skilled, continue to stay in the US.

The ratio of returnees has increased only because these days many people going to US from China are rich spoilt kids who don't even have the proper skills.
Million Cnese have No jobs now due to factories closed. Million of Cnese cant afford to buy fruit now

Chinese workers also have little leverage for seeking higher wages, another possible contributor to inflation. Job losses are already a problem among young white-collar workers as the country’s tech sector has slowed over the winter and spring.
______
It isn’t clear whether higher prices could ripple into other parts of the economy. Perceptions of inflation could drive workers at state-owned companies to demand higher wages, said Harry Broadman, a former chief of staff at the White House Council of Economic Advisers who is now the chairman of the emerging markets practice at the Berkeley Research Group, a global consulting firm.

“It’s not a strictly economic issue,” Mr. Broadman said. “It’s a political economy issue.”

Online, discontent is rising. A survey on China’s biggest social media platform by Phoenix Finance asked people to pick an explanation for the sudden surge in fruit prices. The choices did not include a rise in overall inflation, so people added that in their comments.

“These four options are just trying to smooth things over,” one person wrote. “It’s obviously inflation.”

Other online wags focused on new guidelines from China’s nutrition association, which said individuals should eat at least 500 grams of vegetables and 250 grams of fruit each day.

“I can’t afford eating now,” said one commenter. “Fruit is as expensive as gold.”

India is a negative example of how governance should not be. In that, it serves a purpose for which everybody should be thankful.

Even the small pocket of HK colonial dogs are easily silenced by providing a contemporary example of India.
