At least 80,000 Pakistanis have been killed in the US-led War on Terror, a study conducted by a group of international physicians’ organisations revealed.

A report titled ”Body Count: Casualty Figures after 10 Years of the ‘War on Terror” was released by the Nobel Prize-winning International Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War, along with Physicians for Social Responsibility and Physicians for Global Survival.

Below are the numbers of casualties in Pakistan from 2004 until the end of 2013.

Civilians

48,504

Journalists

45

Civilians killed by drones

416 – 951

Pakistani security forces

5,498

Militants

26,862

Total

81,325 – 81,860

The study concluded that around 1.3 million people were killed, both directly and indirectly, in Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan as a result of US-led wars in the region in more than a decade.

The investigation scoured the results of individual studies and data published by United Nations organisations, government agencies and non-governmental organisations. It added that one million people were killed in Iraq and 220,000 in Afghanistan as a result of the war.

“The figure is approximately 10 times greater than that of which the public, experts and decision makers are aware,” the study’s authors write. “And this is only a conservative estimate. The total number of deaths in the three countries… could also be in excess of 2 million.”

holy shit..... may george bush rot in hell for these useless wars.

The previous figure was 50000 killed. That was a way to conservative estimate it seems. We muslims it seems excel and bombing and killing our own people. No where in the world will dogs like the Wahabi Taliban raise arms against the state and start murdering innocent civilians in the name of armed Jihad.

I think a lot of introspection is required from us and we should own up to this. We are still in Europe in the 13th century. We need a strong anti terrorism policy and need to take severe action against all terrorists who wish to destroy the fabric of the state. Also I think we can learn a thing from shias as well. In the past 10 years I haven't even heard of a shia suicide bomber. Anyway we need a very strong policy and severe culling of the terrorists, found wherever they may be...

George Bush and his boy toy Tony Blair should have been in a trial alongside Saddam Hussain.

US have created more terrorists & problems for Pakistan by these kills.

US would have initiated a war on terror.

Its up to individual countries to decide whether they want to join or participate as it was never mandatory or compulsory.

Now blaming the US is a nice excuse of an escape.

and still Pakistan view India as their worst enemy..!

I think more then half of them are terrorists.

Of course it was not mandatory. Threatning to bomb someone to stoneage is not like forcing them to join
