You are just too naive if you think soThere is no "marketing", just recognition.
Please do not pull any conspiracy theories here.

But not in Pakistan! why? Because she (or her father) spoke what Westerners wanted to hear. If this is not branding, I don't know what is.so say conspriacy theorists. They live in their own world for sure.
Oh bhai,
Malala had a HUGE impact on even college kids in the USA. I saw that even in 2012/2013 trips with my own eyes.
If it was "marketing", her story would have died. But it didn't
Because she touched a cord with people both in the East and the West.
Peace

I never stated everyone in Pakistan hates her but assuming that a sizeable population hails her as does the West is also wrong. Her propagated achievements are beyond her capabilities and qualifications and an intelligent poster such as you should at-least acknowledge that.Again bhai jaan
you are assume everyone in Pakistan hates her and every one int he West loves her.
This is not right. you are a good poster.

If it was in any other field other than 'peace', I would have hailed but sorry to say, the kind of people who have received this not-so-Nobel prize have made it into a painful joke. She earned a Nobel prize. We should be proud of her. It is no longer a propaganda and marketing.
Obama also got peace prize in 2009 for massive drone campaign which has illegally murdered thousands of people in Pakistan, Afghanistan and for his aggressive acts in Afghanistan, Syria and Iraq that violated international lawShe earned a Nobel prize. We should be proud of her. It is no longer a propaganda and marketing.
Hate the sight of her. Glorified for all the wrong reasons.

Was or is she the only one shot at by the TTP scum? Why not other victims of terrorism receive similar treatment from the West? Because they are not the daughters of cunning and opprunist Ziauddin Yousafzai?I just wonder if you have ever been shot at? or one of your family members? I bet not otherwise you wouldn't call the reason wrong. She was shot by those scum of the earth, that alone is reason enough to glorify her !
I bet you have not read her (or her father's) book. There is nothing positive in that book about Pakistan but it was taken by the West because it was written for the Western readers. They liked it because they read in that book exactly what they wanted to read. Such as Girls do not go to Schools (really?), women are like slaves (irrefutable isn't it?), Quid-e-Azam was wrong all along the way (sweet!), Army is the root cause of all ills in Pakistan (sure!) and the list goes on. You seem to live in UK, please try to get hold of the book and go through it. I am sure now it is available for less than a pound on old book shops (though it does not really worth even one pound) or you could find it in a public library.I agree with your argument about the Nobel prize but this little girl portrayed a picture of Pakistan far better than the 'usual' one. Why not focus on the positive !
A very close friend got shot twice unfortunately. I know how long it took for him to get out of the hospital. He hasn't fully recovered yet. I think he should get a nobel prize too.I just wonder if you have ever been shot at? or one of your family members? I bet not otherwise you wouldn't call the reason wrong. nice deflectionI dont see even SC ripping terrorists in Pakistan let alone American even wanting to use the term terrorist on white people but our people are more than eager to label everyone so....so save your gori chamri attitude
Do Pakistanis really feel for our children?
