Bro, to create even the slightest chance of success for talks, it is important that GoI negotiates from a position of strength. For that to happen, it is important that first telling casualities are inflicted on these chaos drunk goondas.

Most of the support will fall off with the initial strikes on their goonda base and over time the movement will be a lot more amenable to talks.

Hence, first it is important to set in the fear of god in these murderers. Fear will do most of the job for the moderates to come around.

That said, any trust by GoI needs to be earned and this neglect of the tribals need to stop. We better get our act together in that region. We will surely not get another chance there after this one.

Ok lets say. If we use army against naxals and if that backfires, like more causalities on our side, that what? It would bring a lot of embarrassment. Those gundas are nothing but hired guns by Lefts. This all can be solved if we can take Mamata Banergee, Bhattacharya, and all CM's of affected states. Look at Pakistan, they are using army against their own people, have they won?

I'd like to dis agree on that with u Mr. The state of India is never against anyboy's ideology...it's the individuals who are the culprits. I remember veteran maoists who were great freedom fighters. The Hindu : News / National : Eight naxals killed in encounter; bodies recovered
Eight naxals including three women were killed in an encounter at Saloboni village in West Bengal’s Midnapore district.

The dead bodies of the naxals have been recovered.

A joint team of CRPF, the special anti-naxal force (SAF) and state police acting on a specific intelligence input which went into the encounter last night also recovered one AK-47, a SLR, one pistol and five single barrel guns, a senior CRPF official said.

“Dead bodies of the eight naxals alongwith three women have been recovered and the encounter may prolong”, the officer added.

The encounter happened in Dhuli forest area under the Saloboni police station of the district.

Some explosives have also been recovered.

The additional reinforcements from the state police and CRPF have been asked for, the officer said.
