764 Pakistanis granted Indian citizenship in 3 years: Govt

Most of the Pakistanis I have talked to abroad have told me that they cannot go back home out of fear for their safety. I dont hear the same from Indians.

Pakistan is in a major crisis, from the tribal lands, to Punjab, to Karachi, to Blauchistan.

India has problems in Kashmir (largely suppressed by a large army presence), the North East (Border fences and infrastructure plus more troops are being sent), the red corridor (the Maoists are being hunted by paramilitaries not just cops now).

Despite these problems, India is still moving forward in allot of areas. I dont see that happening in Pakistan.

Tons of indian women marry Pakistanis and then get citizenship, my sister in law is indian Punjabi. A few hundred indians apply for Pakistani citizenship every year.

ISLAMABAD, 18 July 2004 — A heavily pregnant Indian doctor, who last July converted to Islam to marry her Pakistani husband, has been refused citizenship and is now facing deportation from Pakistan.

Dr. Divya Dayanan, 22, now Hafza Aman, married Aman Khan Hoti last year after embracing Islam. The two settled in Mardan, 60 kilometers north of Peshawar. They are expecting their first child next month.

The couple met while studying in Ukraine. Aman returned home in 1998 without completing his studies while Divya received her degree in medicine.

Since then they have made numerous applications to senior officials in the Home Ministry to have Hafza registered as a Pakistani citizen but to no avail.

~ I know of an NGO that fights for the rights of indian's living in Pakistan.

Well same could be said about pakistani women coming to India to make a few $$$ by modeling nude or to be in some sleazy film.

Veena Malik ain't just the only one, there are others like , Somy Ali, Noor Bukhari and Nargis Farkhi who've dated Indian men.
It's still hard for them to get Indian citizenship due to mistrust between both India and pakistan.

And then there are the hundreds of indian gals that fall in love with Pakistani lads, convert and marry - in the UK - the indians were so worried that they actually gave indian girls pamphlets to not fall for Pakistanis.

LOL we're talking about pakistanis trying to get citizenship into India. You're bringing up other countries? Hell I'm engaged to a pakistani girl, but I guess I can use that as a reference now ;)

Nothing wrong to be engaged with Pakistani girl as long as you both lead happy a great life.....Wish you all the best.

The willingness of indian gals to convert to Islam is the most amazing part.

and their are tons of pakistani girls too who marry indian men and get indian citizenship especially sikh, hindus and even muslim girls too....but its more difficult for muslim girls to get indian citizenship, most of muslim couples live in neutral countries....just look at sania mirza her handpack husband has to live with her in Dubai.

indian girls have to wait a longtime to get Pakistani citizenship - there is a NGO that fights for their rights, my family was able to get Pakistani nationality fairly quickly for my sister-in-law, but we had some help from govt officials.
