Hyderabad: Police have fired warning shots in the air and imposed an indefinite curfew in parts of one of India’s key information technology hubs as angry mobs of Hindus and Muslims clashed for a third straight day Monday, leaving at least 75 people injured.

A.K. Khan, the city police commissioner, said violence spread to new areas of Hyderabad, the capital of southern Andhra Pradesh state, where the two communities attacked each other with stones and wooden sticks.

Police fired in the air at six places after tear gas and batons failed to control the clashing groups on Monday, he said. The indefinite curfew covered nearly one-fourth of Hyderabad, which is one of India’s technology hubs and a base for Google, Microsoft and IBM, among others.

The authorities did not let the riot go out of control and snowball. I think imposing curfew is a great idea.

When economic benefits are not even in society such communal violence becomes a normality with time hopefully India could realize that even with 200 billion dollar weaponry , its biggest danger lies in its own population's wellness and economic well being as much as its relations with its neighbours

it's very important for India to spend $ on weapons as it's economy and political power is raising up in the world.

indeed, there is poverty in India, but it can't be resolve in one night.
Remember India is democracy, so government cannot just enforce any law on people.

just look at this map, and think if India is also spending $ on poor people.
