700yr Indian address in Jerusalem gets lift

Persian wasnt the language of India 700 years ago...

Urdu didnt exist as it does that long ago..

Persian was the language of the courts in Delhi, not the common people.
Urdu (Zaban-e-Urdu) came into existence as the language of the camps (i.e. soldiers and common people) It came into existence in the period of the Delhi Sultanate, which predates the Mughal period.
Now check out how many years ago that was. :-)
And as everybody knows, Urdu is an amalgam of languages.

.
The name is written in Arabic, last word written is Al-Hindiyah. Urdu don't write India as Al-Hindiyah. (consulted a friend for that)

the picture has "indian Hospice" written in urdu :/ where as it should be in hindi ...so much for being 'INDIAN' :D

When the hospice was built (700 yrs ago), Urdu was an Indian language; just as Urdu is an Indian language today! ;)

The Arched Gateway was built then and is maintained "as is" now.

Thats pure Arabic- Its been the same from centuries-

Its neither in Urdu nor in Persian. It Arabic since it is in the arabic land. Zawaiyah al Hindiya meaning Zawaiyah is kind a place where sufi has his classes ... meaning Baba Farid of Pakistan ;) and Hindiya means India since Pak Pattan was part of Mogul Empire then.

I am a little disappointed in fellow Pakistanis who can not differentiate between Arabi Farsi and Urdu
