Persian wasnt the language of India 700 years ago...
Urdu didnt exist as it does that long ago..
Persian was the language of the courts in Delhi, not the common people.
Urdu (Zaban-e-Urdu) came into existence as the language of the camps (i.e. soldiers and common people) It came into existence in the period of the Delhi Sultanate, which predates the Mughal period.
Now check out how many years ago that was.
And as everybody knows, Urdu is an amalgam of languages.
