7+ ppl died on way out from PTI Multan Jalsa :(

Rip.... Government is responsible for this incident. They turned off the lights, only opened 2 Gates even after end of jalsa even hundreds of thousands people there,yesterday attack on sheikh rasheed and firing... Government is not happy from opposition. This is style of PMLN to crush the opponents by force. Such bloody shameless government.

For me it looks like failure from government and PTI so stop fighting and doing politics on this issue.

I am a PTI supporter but I believe it is too early to jump into the blame game. Both sides should wait for an enquiry.

1) I believe that the stage being police responsibility is ridiculous. 2) On the other hand white the DCO claims 5 gates were open, media is reporting only two were open. 3) I believe water was used to disperse the crowd NOT cause a stampede.

In hindsight: Murad Saeed should calm down and wait for the facts. He might have to eat his own words. Similarly, Rana Sanaullah should stop making ridiculous claims that PTI wanted a stampede.

Both parties should accept failure at their level and be transparent about the pending enquiry. I have seen big crowds and the organizers are responsible for the orderly disperse of people. Even if it was PTI's fault, the should man up and accept it. It won't be the end of the world; it will be start of a new era of responsibility.

RIP to the loved ones, this sort of management is really bad, people need to learn more patience which is sadly the not the case in Pakistan. Noora league rs will try to make a political mileage out of this.

As Fawad Ch said on TV< when the plane is on the runway and still moving, people start standing up and getting their carry ons.

I don't think you can hold someone directly responsible for this, either the PTI or the dstt admin. This was an unfortunate incident, and even though you can investigate the incident and blame someone for X act, you cannot register an FIR for that and make him a scapegoat IMO.

Similarly, Rana Sanaullah should stop making ridiculous claims that PTI wanted a stampede..

Haven't seen the Murad Saeed statement but Rana Sanaullah seems as if he is on drugs.

Totally agree with you, I remember a few years ago when I came back from Pakistan on a PIA flight to UK, as soon as the plane landed on runway and started taxiing towards the airport terminal, people just started to stand up with all their belongings, cabin crew told the passengers to remain seated, people still didn't listen.

I disagree with you. It's not a matter of jahil crowds. Most crowds this big will act this way--it's impossible to see what's happening in front of you. You move with the flow, not with your own mind.

There is a case of gross negligence here. That is a criminal offense. If only 2 gates were open, it is a serious question mark. On the other hand the fact that PTI did not guide people out is also misconduct but I don't think a criminal case can be bought up on that. It is a serious failure of administration (govt/PTI) and those responsible must be punished!

In Hajj, millions gather. They have a proper plan and flow management--that is how they have prevented incidents like those that used to happen.

While finding faults of management, people must also realize that these days everyone is in a hurry to be the first one out. Management can only help guide people, cant beat sense into them every time someone tries to make a run for the exit. It realllllly boils down to individuals, "adults" that should know better not to give rise to a stampede.

All you said is true. Multan Jalsa was clearly mismanaged unlike Jalsas in Karachi, Lahore, Mianwali.
