they have to feed their families so thats why they somehow arrange money to go abroad so that that they earn much to feed their families in Pakistan ...
you can see that in Pakistan the pays are not good enough as compared to high prices of different daily use items and food ...
with low income in Pakistan its very difficult for a person to support family ....
no one have a desire to go on suicide mission but its their hunger that make them do go off the limits .....
so we have to improve economical situation of our country so that people are not forced to take such hard decisions

they arrange money through loans and sell their property even their houses to arrange money
if they earn 300RS per day in Pakistan then how he can survive here . you can imagine how hard his life will be .. but in UK or any other country he earn 30 pounds per day then you convert it into Rs then it make a difference for poor man

they sell everything; their Yamaha bike, a few things here and there; they borrow some of the money or they become indebted to the agents themselves...

a million rupees is a good chunk of change though; perhaps they see some imaginary money trail....Greece and Italy are both often a popular destination for these smuggled people.......and both countries are mired in economic problems, both becoming more hard-line against illegal immigrants

It is fault of Government .. a person who is paying money to get smuggled in other country .. .and mainly of those who are there in foreign land .. telling big stories to their friends and families..
I know stories many illegal immigrants who are stuck here for long time .. for 10-20 years not able to go back to India to met family and no future here..
Those all came here used to tell fairy tales of life (still they are in worst situation .. working in Parking garage or in some Indian restaurant).. those stories generates more illegals immigrant..

-being a ''man of worth'' and being able to provide for family (educate them, clothe them, feed them, afford daily expenses)

Dude most of the illegal migrants from India are Punjabis. They own acres of agricultural land in Punjab, but threw that all away to pay the agent so as to move to Europe or North America legally or illegally.They may be poor, but not so poor to go hungry.
