7 million people laid off in textile industry, associations claim, 10th Jan, 2023

.
This is calculated by The Economist in 2021.

Current situation is more due to Global Economic situation than blaming current administration. But most people dont know this, so if you think IK is the best leader for Pakistan, better he starts leading the country again in 2024 since many economic situation will likely be better, particularly hawkish The Fed tightening policy will be gone and Western economy as Pakistan main export destination will likely get better

What exactly has the establishment accomplished by bringing in PDM govt?

As neutral viewer, I think military doesnt like IK foreign policy that break Pakistan relationship with USA. He gets dumped after he visited Russia during Russia start of invasion on Ukraine. He also become very pro China leader in the level that he wants Pakistan to be inside China camp when it comes to US vs China rivalry

I dont think your military gets order from USA, I think this is just dispute on foreign policy. Military see it as dangerous for Pakistan and prefer Pakistan sit in more neutral position in the mid of US vs China/ Russia rivalry.

If I am not mistaken IK also wants his men to become ISI Chief, not listening to what military wants

Some gernails made some good money. Some politicians got good money. They have formed a mafia and shook down Pakistan, while profiting off the devastation they created, internationally.

Current economic problem is due to global economic condition. So IK better wait than pressing the idea to do election this year.

2024 IMO is a good time for election. Good global economic environment for any leader to rule, particularly compared to 2022 and 2023.
The assembly's tenure ends in Oct 2023. That's in the constitution. While your suggestion is pragmatic. it's will be seen by the people as sitting idle and enjoying the show on IK's part. So, he has to keep the pressure on. He'd be a fool to let go of his demands for a snap election, let alone going beyond the Oct 2023 date mandated by the constitution. That would mean he was just blowing hot air all this time and wasn't interested in elections.

Regarding the global economic environment, things were pretty good this time last year. I am sure they wouldn't have been nearly as bad as now had the regime change not been carried out.
The single most pertinent issue is the political uncertainty, which is why the capital flight, brain drain, distrust on our traditional allies (read: benefactors) part, deep resentment among the expatriate Pakistanis etc etc

Foreign policy difference is just an excuse, bro.
They don't like competition. IK was that one leader with the charisma, as recent events have proved, their fears were right. Nawaz sharif can die and be reborn a hundred times but he still won't win people's hearts like this. They always knew he'd be dangerous for them but were dead set against NS in 2018 so they had to make a compromise then.

They were completely on board with the Russia visit BTW. That has been established.

Same on the ISI chief issue. It's the chief executive i.e. Prime minister's prerogative to appoint him. The military just didn't like a civilian leader reclaiming that prerogative. Besides, as we've now seen, the incumbent ISI chief was an essential tool in the whole operations.
P.S. I am not one of those people that believe the last guy, Gen Faiz was some sort of angel.
