http://www.khaleejtimes.com/region/saudi-arabia/69-pakistanis-arrested-in-saudi-for-terrorism

The total number of Pakistanis arrested for involvement in terror activities in Saudi Arabia has gone up to 69, reports Saudi Gazette.

A Pakistani woman, Fatima Ramadan Balochi Murad was arrested along with her Saudi husband from an apartment in Al Naseem district by security agencies after a tip-off.

Last July, a Pakistani terrorist named Abdullah Qalzar Khan blew himself up near Solaiman Fakeih Hospital in Jeddah.

The security authorities arrested 49 Pakistani residents and put them under interrogation since the bombing in July, the report adds.

Interior Ministry of Saudi Arabia also foiled two terror plots in Jeddah last October. It foiled one plan targeting police officers and another one to detonate a car loaded with explosives near the Al Jawhara Football Stadium in Jeddah. It involved two Pakistanis - Solaiman Arab Deen and Farman Naqshaband Khan.

A recent statement issued by the Interior Ministry through its Tawasul (communications) portal said that 5,085 terror suspects from 40 countries are in detention in five intelligence prisons in the Kingdom.

The statement said that there are 4,254 Saudis detained in intelligence prisons constituting the largest number of suspects. The Saudis are followed by 282 Yemenis and 218 Syrians. There are three suspects from the US and one each from France, Belgium and Canada.

There are 75+ banned terrorist organizations in Pakistan. May be somebody has link with them, but these are banned organizations. Abdullah Qalzar khan sounds Afghani name that blew himself in Jedddah. May be he was refugee here, some people even managed to get Pakistani ID cards.

Saudi Arabia’s Interior Ministry has captured 14 extremists involved in terror activities.

The ministry announced that two of those arrested were Saudi nationals while the rest came from Pakistan.

Further details were announced on the recent security operation that led to two ISIS extremists suicide bombers detonating themselves in the Harazat area of Jeddah last Saturday.

Both men were identified as Ghazi Hussain al-Sarwani and Nadi Marzooq al-Medhiani after forensic tests were conducted on their remains.

Tests also proved that there were others involved in that operations, with their remains still unidentified pending further investigations.

Al Arabiya has also obtained photos of what remained in the Jeddah operation in the Harazat area as well from an apartment in the al-Naseem neighborhood where one Saudi extremist and his Pakistani wife were arrested on the same day.

Terrorist or not if they are ordinary Pakistani's, unsurprisingly nobody would care. It's Saudi's, they have a habit of detaining people without any reasons, remember Zaid Hamid? Since he enjoyed high profile, he got the necessary backing from Pakistani establishment, but here, they wont even bother to inquire on which grounds these "alleged terrorists" have been apprehended and possibly no one will bat an eye if they are executed/punished without any trials. Meanwhile the rest of us shouldn't even speak our minds, because it undermines our "brotherly bonds" with the Arab world. :tsk:

People here making a big deal out of something not surprising or controversial at all.

In all groups of people you will find bad apples in this case extremists/terrorists.

However nobody is stupid enough to generalize an entire people based on the behavior of an overall microscopic minority of people. Unfortunately a loud one though due to their actions. Arabs should know this as should most Muslims.

As for people questioning the authenticity, what would the government gain from arresting and imprisoning random people? Some geniuses on this forum.

Anyway those 69 are imprisoned/held on terrorism charges. There are many, many more Pakistanis imprisoned for other offenses as is the case with every group in the country.
