Essen, Bangkok: Far away from Stuttgart, Bosch is pushing ahead with the digital networking of its product range. The technology group operates one of its most important global centers for software development in the Vietnamese metropolis of Ho Chi Minh City.

More than 3,000 programmers work for the subsidiary Bosch Global Software Technologies in Vietnam. Only in India does the company employ more IT experts. Gaur Dattatreya, who runs the palm-fringed office, says: "We are proud that almost every product we produce has software from Vietnam."

And the location is likely to become even more important: the number of programmers is expected to almost double by the middle of the decade. A branch has just opened in the capital Hanoi.

Vietnam wants to become a leading global IT center. The government in Hanoi has set itself the goal of earning a fifth of gross domestic product from the digital economy by 2025.

Do not think so. I am now sitting in my apartment, which is next to Cau Giay Park. And at the gate of the park right now, they are playing "Bai Ca Ha Noi, or The Song of Hanoi". In the lyrics, there is "our city, the capital is boiling to fight the American"

And next to Cau Giay park is the new site of America embassy. (The FPT headquarter in picture above is also next to Cau Giay park)

It is difficult to come to a conclusion.

The media is quite pro-west indeed, but media and real life is different, anywhere in the world.

However, it is good news that the media is becoming increasingly neutral, especially since the Russia Ukraine war from March and a lot of bad actions from the US, which alienated their traditional allies as well as their sympathizers.

Chinese pianists played the Chinese song <My Motherland> at the White House.

Of course, this is normal, but <My Motherland> was the most popular military song of the Chinese army during the Korean War.

At that time, almost every Chinese soldier once sang this song and shot at the Americans.

Software development is something that it can be done 100% remotely through internet.

I dont know why they dont offer his service to little western companies too.

They are doing like "Alibaba", selling to big companies.

But it doesnt exist a "Aliexpress" of remote coders yet, and there is market for them.
