Neither do I but I really don't know that Pakistan would follow up on actually training the ANSF or even the ANA till a peace settlement of sort is reached ! Simply out of fear of stirring up a hornet's nest & inviting both the Afghan Taliban & the TTP to be, by default, on the same proverbial page.

. . .
That's the call of today! they are responsible for their fate in Afghanistan not the Afghans. If you go and see their list of procurements for ANSF you would laugh; they spent an average of $7bln in last 4 years on ANSF totaling $28bln if we had the authority of that money today we would have artillery of 200mm, modern tanks, gunships, jet trainers, air defense, infrastructure and possibly lesser ANSF recruits.
do you see any change in them in near future ? their ll most probably be providing some decent support financially, if used properly certainly has a potential of bringing things in order atleast on the border.

The very bad thing US has done to us via media is portraying Afghanistan will be nothing without NATO/US like Afghanistan came into being in 2002!! man this country is thousand years old and have potential to defend and sustain itself independently the promise world community has made I see a good hand assisting us getting ourselves out of challenges in another decade. Karzai administration might be one of the corrupted in the history of Afghanistan but it certainly has taken alot of major steps for ensuring a stable Afghanistan post 2014! one of the examples can be signing of strategic pacts like one with India and other dozen of nations.

But honestly bro, besides Kabul, which are the other major cities and towns you have? Is there normal life? Do kids go to school?

Why don't you start a thread about Afghanistan and show us?

There are some pretty regular Afghans like you and Ahmad who post here.

Yet we know very very very little save for the war news.

When ISAF leaves Afghanistan, they will leave behind a lot of weaponry. This will itself be quite an inventory. What can we provide Afghanistan with?

Military
1. More TATA Trucks for logisitics
2. Training in mountain warfare
3. Policy framing help and setting up of a military academy in Afghanistan (This is critical. An army is held together if all the human elements believe in a single national identity and not factional/regional identities).
4. Study opportunities for Afghan officers in Indian Universities with relation to Medicine, Defense & Strategy.
5. Joint COIN training & exercises in India and Afghanistan. Maybe even with Iran in the future.
6. Dhruv and Dhruv WSI for the AAF.
7. Medical facilities training in forward areas
8. If and when the Tejas comes online, it should be offered to the AAF with soft loans.
9. Training for AAF in aerial combat.
10. Provide satellite launch capability.

Non-military
1. Scholarships for students
2. Setting up of universities in Afghanistan
3. Setting up of hospitals
4. Setting up road rail network and work with the Iranians on this.
5. Setting up a television and radio network with state of the art production facilities
6. Fund setting up of cultural training centres in Afghan arts

This would provide a decent starting point!

CIJWS is probably the best of its kind. The training you get there is unmatched. We had some yanks over for joint exercises there, our boys showed em how its done....They might not be on the more bulky, muscular side, as the americans...but u can be sure of one thing, they're among the most hardened warriors you'll find anywhere
If the afghans are being trained in CIJWS, then, their enemies have more tan a thing or two to worry about in the jungles.

Add Akash SAM and BrahMos Block-II LACM to that list. Block-2 PJ-10 can be very useful in areas like
Afghan-Pak border.

Other posters ke beech main grenades  RAW in action again!

Who is she

.
