Incase any one is wondering as to why capt. Col. Sher khan shaheed was named as such than read the following:
Lt col Shair Khan shaheed resident of Mong Azad Kashmir was very highly docorated ex british army officer. He was a member of Kashmir Jihad council in1947 formed against Infidel Dogra Raj and founder of 5th battalion of Azad Kashmir regiment. He sold his property located in Punjab to fund his entire regiment e.g uniforms, Ammunition etc.After many successful gorilla strikes Lt col Shair khan was martyred at Chajja Hill poonch sector on 9th of july 1948. Grand father of Captain col Shair Khan was part of the lashkar that LT Col. Sher khan was commanding. Grandfather of captain col Shair khan named his Grandson after "Col. Shair Khan".
