What's new

5g technology operation is to begin in India this year.

He is busy Googling.

There is no operational 5G in India.
These Right wingers always lie in Modi's favor.

ZTE has come up with 5G handset.

do you know difference between being a network 5G ready and being operational? Samsung CEO along with JIO have made this joint statement in MWC, as the current installed infra is 5G ready.

The GOI still does not have a clear cut policy on 5G.
Its gonna take 3 months.
Then the 5G spectrum auction after 8-9 months.
Import 5G complaint handsets from China.

Machili samunder me...Mummy masala pees rahi?
Rofol at Google dependent stupidos..

again, Ready and operational are two different stuff, its better you start taking english classes, its like "bhians ke aage been bajaye bhai khadi paguraye", and small TIP: start reading news, watching events, podcasts etc.

Let me first say, the opening article is talking about pre-5G, NOT 5G.

at present reliance Jio, along with Samsung, already has its network 5G ready.

Bullshit. Totally false.

Why three years?? Is it some new technology or some upgrade of equipment needed??

5G would be a HUGE LEAP over 4G.
Imagine download speeds of up to 10 GB/sec, with super low latency. And the functionality to connect ANYTHING.

It is being developed by keeping in mind the IoT in mind.

There is already 2 separate networks in India planning 5 G,

1. BSNL+ Nokia
2. Reliance Jio + Samsung + Airsapn (israel)

Maybe Huwai is in talks with Airtel to launch in India.

Reliance Jio 5G is expected to start in April.

Totally incorrect.

Neither Reliance, Samsung, or Airsapn have 5G capabilities are developing it in any meaningful way.

And Reliance can't start 5G in April, because 5G hasn't even been developed.

ZTE has come up with 5G handset.

It is unfortunately true for every person. They can't think without having their ideology to interfere in their thinking.

Also ZTE has NOT released a 5G handset.

Firstly, it is not 5G, but rather pre-5G.

Secondly, it isn't even a handset. It was just a demonstration platform to demonstrate speed tests. It was not even a prototype handset.

.
5G is basically for low speeds and IoTs. And telecom companies are marketing 5G that is basically 4G LTE Advanced versions MIMO etc ?

.
Bullshit. Totally false.

as I said before it's 5G ready, not 5G operational, and moreover have you ever read about JIO telecom infrastructure ? how they reach to a point of pan India 4G rollout even to remotest part of country, where other telecom hardly provide 2G? If not then read about there Fiber infrastructure.

TIP: don't twist my words, again am saying Ready not operational.

. .
We don't even have decent 3G In Delhi and they're talking about 5G. Internet speed sucks in india as compared to other countries.

.
It's a long way..
Also there are only one or two 5G ready sets in market..

.
Can you please elaborate and post the link?

The network, he adds, is the largest only 4G and VoLTE network in the world. “Jio is future proof as it is 5G and 6G ready,” Ambani added.

.
AFAIK, you can't use this phone to access 5g. You'll need a new hand set that supports 5g. :)

I don't think India actually needs 5G. The amount of even 3G expensive phone users in India proportionally is a lot lower than in countries with 'spendy' mentalities like Pakistan and Bangladesh.

A lot more Indians are looking for simple economical solutions like extremely cheap phones (often local assembled phones assembled from lowest grade OEM components sourced from third-tier companies in China) to conduct basic tasks rather than requiring showcase phones with Gigabyte bandwidth which is super expensive thanks to 'super-opportunist' (dhokeybaaz) Indian Cellphone providers. Most people (an overwhelming majority) haven't gotten past 3G yet in India, much less 5G - no offense.

The number of takers for these advanced high-bandwidth services (5G) in South Asia is minuscule, even more so in India.

Everybody in India should be on 4G and 5G networks by 2020.

super expensive

??

These are Jio plans--
