Please there is a world of difference between 5G speeds and 3G speeds. The jump between no mobile internet to a 3G was hugely disruptive which is not so in case of jump from 3G speeds to 5G. This is called marginal change and is used extensively in making business decisions.
Above is 3G segment growth rate per month in pakistan.
Also, you have to factor in one thing is, people who are using 3G will switch to 5G but the same amount of 2G users might not switch to 3G (check above stats as an indicator) . Consequently, what you will end up is more or less the 3G user segment divided between 3G and 5G subscriptions.

The switch to newer technologies is bound to happen. When newer technologies such as 4G/5G are made available to the masses we will always witness a significant drop in the subscriptions of legacy networks.
Also, the Pakistani market is quite complex. First you have to understand and identify the user base. It is not as simplified as developed markets.
Pakistan should definitely move ahead with the implementation of newer technologies such as 5G and it needs to do that with the help of Huawei which is one of the major leaders in network technologies. This is very important considering that Pakistan seeks to transform its economy to a knowledge based model. I'm convinced that Pakistan has huge potential in this sector. The IT sector is going to boom in Pakistan. Not a shred of doubt.
