597 people died unable to bear demise of Jayalalithaa, AIADMK says

CHENNAI: The ruling AIADMKin Tamil Nadu on Monday announced that 597 people died unable to bear the demise of former chief minister J Jayalalithaa.
Jayalalithaa died on December 5.
A press statement from the party headquarters announced financial assistance of Rs 3 lakh to the bereaved families of 127 people. Earlier, the party had announced financial aid to the families of 470 people.
The deaths were reported from across the state.
The party announced Rs 50,000 each to eight people for medical treatment.
