That's it, it's about your ideology at the end of the day. I think that Humans like to look at life in such a way so they get the satisfaction that something bigger than them is waiting for them after it all ends, it can be seen how religions evolved historically. We as a race have always been curious and afraid of things which we don't understand (for example the mayans used to sacrifice people during eclipse as they thought it was a wrath of god) The whole judgment after death thing too, i mean if such a god exists there will be a long line and billion of men to be vetted, and what is "just" or moral for a "god" do you think? humanity has evolved the principles of natural justice and human rights. Our sense of morality won't apply to other beings it's something intrinsic to the evolution of us humans.
Science too is not a permanent thing, maybe in the next 200yrs the things we know could be shattered completely and the things we think are constant and permanent like atoms, organic matter, relativity of time is breached. Just wonder that you could be executed by the church in the dark eras for not agreeing that earth is flat.
Humanity is a self preserving race that will always be riddled with dogmas and ideologies maybe this hate will be our end after all.
If there are superior beings out there maybe someone way more advanced than us on a civilizational scale can they be called gods per say? We would be like a little puny planet and race for them that is in the "early stages" of civilization. I mean a billion stars and hundreds of thousands of solar systems there's no end to the possibilities!
this went a lot offtopic but just found this notion pretty interesting
different ways of thinking imo.
