56% of Americans still believe Hiroshima bombing was justified – poll

Not really, the Imperial Japan was short lived and never controlled over 1/3 of China's territory.

Bro , its not about Gaining Territory , either of China or any other country ..

And how could a great Empire get slaughtered by the US?

every Super Power has taste Defeat ... War is a Game , one will win , and one will lose ..
US got more Military Power and WMD , so they win .. If Japan got WMD's at that time , US will be broken into pieces

.
The only ones that do not collapse are ones that are faith based oriented, i suppose. Those last. Despite political changes.

i guess you might be hinting at the US in a very subtle and japanese tone? well the US is on the path to total collapse , after obama it'll be downhill for america..

iran does cooperate cause it's weak , japan used to cooperate too , they learned how to build battleships from the Brits , iran might some day end up like japan , not literally , but metaphorically

Absolutely. Iran has a glorious culture, and history. Iran, like Iraq, are the birthplace of Civilization (The Fertile Crescent). So can we not expect great things, and accomplishments from such an ancient civilization (Persia). In history the Persians show us their cultural pursuits, writing, commerce , and civic-building capabilities. The fact that history books still record the Pony Express, and some of the stones of old Persian roads -- is testament to that civilizational accomplishments of the Persian people.

These last long after their political demise. So we see that in the end, it is the civic-oriented buildup that lasts and outlives the times. Military? Not so much.

i wouldn't agree , ancient persia was built with military prowess , not civic , your quote "those who love sword , shall get it by the sword" comes from a hebrew carpenter , it's not a guideline to follow

All empires , nation states collapse, my friend. Japan as a national entity is over 3,000 years old, however, in that 3,000 years we were not always unified, and were under various names, kingoms, many rulers ascended the throne. The same applies for great historical empire-states such as Egypt, Persia, Indus Valley, Indian Subcontinent, Chinese mainland, The Middle East, Europe, Africa.

We are simply living in a particular time epoch. We only see what has happened thus far, and are limited in scope because we don't know the future. However, if history teaches us one thing, there is an end to everything. No empire, no nation state ever resisted total collapse.

America is not immune to this. She may not collapse any time soon, but, according to historical chronology, she , too, will endure the unendurable.

Like all great empires that have come and gone....

The Imperial Japan had only bullied a divided/unindustrialized farmer country like the Republic of China.

Yes, they also scored big against the Russian Empire back in 1905, but with USSR, Japan just recognized that it would get humiliated.

That Hebrew Carpenter, and a Prophet in Islam (Peace be upon Him), is one who is dear to my heart. :)

Its not an if , my friend, but is a when. Muslims, Jews, Christians know this. Judgment day will come. :)

If judgement day comes , americans will be judged the most harshly , not because of that hebrew peasant they follow but simply because they are americans :)

Well, as one who is just an insignificant mortal who is doomed to die and return to the ground from whence i came, i have no knowledge on who will be judged more severely or not. Let us leave judgment to God alone, yes?
