50 per cent increase in minimum wages for workers in Delhi: Arvind Kejriwal

While i cant stand this guy , i am in Delhi now , having spoken to many people , the feeling on the ground is that he is doing what they want most , he brought down the electricity bills by half and reduced the water bills to virtually nil. By raising the minimum wage he will have insured a large vote bank in his favour.
All parties do it in one way or the other!!!

It will be risky but a popular move.
Benefits(if any) will come in the long run.
How many industries does Delhi have anyway. I don't think that the industries in NCR comes under Delhi govt.
The biggest backlash could be yet more labour migration to the National capital meaning more population burden.
Also the producers will employ only the skilled labours as with high wages the economy of scale can only be materialized with efficient labours.
