Not making it up - It's real General Naseerullah Babar^ That's a real good story.
Let me remember, was it 50 Indians = 1 Pakistani back in 65? I thought the ratio was 10 to 1.
It's Maj. (later Lt. Gen) Naseerullah Babar, who, as a chopper pilot in the '65 war, landed by mistake in the middle of an Indian infantry company but had the presence of mind to realise his mistake immediately and announce to the Indian company commander that they were surrounded by our forces and he had come to take their surrender. He marched over a hundred POWs back to our lines herding them with a sten gun he had taken from his opposite number.
