PATHARGHATA, BARGUNA: Bangladesh Navy detained 50 fishermen with three Indian trawlers on charge of intrusion into Bangladesh's maritime territory.
They were captured from Kolagachhia point of Bay of Bengal on Monday noon, says Barguna District Fishing Trawler Owners’ Association president Golam Mostafa.
Naval force team led-by lieutenant commander Salahuddin, with the seized trawlers, was heading toward Pathaghata from Kolagachhia point.
Golam Mostafa also told banglanews that members of Bangladesh Navy caught 50 Indian fishermen with three trawlers while they were fishing inside Bangladesh maritime territory.
When contacted, lieutenant commander Salahuddin declined to make any comment about the matter right now.
