I was thinking of buying Sony after the Samsung debacle, but someone showed my his email issues, and this is what is making me reconsider.

I am not sure which mode you are planning to buy but all I can say is

iPhone 7
Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge
Sony Xperia Z5
HTC One
LG G5
Google Nexus

Any brand you choose. It will do your job pretty much the same way. The only difference you are likely to see in the long run is the battery life which in my opinion S7 Edge and iPhone 7 are best in this regard. The screen is going to be slightly difference but in daily use they are all equally good

My issue was that O had plugged it on charging. The power was supplied from UPS at that time and suddenly the phone turned off

It never turned ON again and I read reviews on internet that several customers had faced similar issues. The phone looks absolutely fine but never turned on thereafter

Windows mobile>iOS>Android.

I loved lumia 920 but had to give away because app support was getting no where. Then I brought One plus one, android app support is good but operating system it self isn't stable/fast at all. So ended up with iphone 6s which is nice trade off between windows and android. I think 6s is good enough for another couple of years before we actually see real improvement.

am with you bro. fcuk iphone it hassle and monoply to get iphone repaired when it comes to software etc. samsung no problem. you can also change battery right away iphone you must take phone apart. planned obsolete = iphone.

Once u learn how to open up an iPhone it's not that hard to replace the insides.

Essentially, what they are referring to is the fact that things like Facebook, WhatsApp, and Skype work on an iPhone. Little do they know, that all these features and applications, will work on an Android device, which is available for half the price of an iPhone. Many iPhone users believe that some of the features they are using are exclusively available on their phone. While iPhone does support a great user experience, in contrast to what the iPhones fans in Pakistan believe, it is not the only phone to do so.

Only in Pakistan do people try to emphasize their professionalism through a phone. You can be late to a meeting, you can be rude to someone, and everything will be forgiven if you keep an iPhone on the table. While this is certainly not the case, the fact is that people carrying an iPhone believe that they look more professional and do have this mentality that they are creating an impression. At the end of the day, they don’t realize their behavior and conduct is what matters, rather than their phone.

if you dont have money to buy an iphone then its a dabba and ishit and so on. as soon as its in your budget you buy it and then brag about it.

May be in India and Pakistan but not here in the west since everyone can afford one especially through the monthly instalment plans i.e. contract from T-mobiles, Verizon or AT&T and even students and janitors have iPhones and expensive android phones.

Average mobile bill in US is about $50 and with contracts you may end up paying up to $100/month. It is still affordable for average joe.

But in India or Pakistan the average bill is very low and the penetration of smart phones has only seen sharp increase recently. Mobile internet is ever increasing with usage of smart phones and 4G spectrum being launched by most carriers.

But if you look at revenue side then you will understand where we stand. Average revenue per user in India is only Rs400 ($6) per month and it has been coming down for quite some time now because of domestic competition.
Only big telecom companies with deep pockets will survive.

But the lure of such a big market is bringing in new players. Recently Reliance Jio of Ambani group launched free service of their 4G spectrum with unlimited free calls and data for three months. One estimate is that he spent 24 billion dollars to subscribe about 75 million new users. I don't know if he will recoup his investment with such low ARPU.

As far I know no one is offering mobile contracts here to subsidize expensive phones like IPhone. You can still buy IPhones here on EMI payments (about Rs2000/month).

Apple always maintained high end quality products mostly catering to developed world. So, in a developing world most can dream about owning one and hence its status symbol.

I recently had interesting conversation with my site manager. He happened to own a IPhone 6S which was gifted to him by his brother who lives in Australia and couple of our clients assumed him to be the owner when he went to collect payments. They assured him it will paid promptly and he need not come to the site and instead send the office boy. And other employees assumed him to be stealing the company money to afford an IPhone. So, you see it brings unexpected results.
