Five Koreans, including three women, were allegedly drugged by a co-passenger in a train apparently with the motive of robbery though none of the tourists complained about loss of any of their belongings on regaining consciousness.
The Korean nationals were travelling by the Mathura-Allahabad Express which arrived at the railway junction here this morning, Superintendent of Police (Railway) A K Tyagi told PTI.
He said the tourists were lying unconscious inside a compartment from where they were taken to a hospital. They regained consciousness after a few hours of treatment and disclosed that they had boarded the train last night at Agra and were offered some eatables by a co-passenger a few minutes after the train had left the station.
The luggage lying beside the tourists inside the train was shown to them and after checking it thoroughly they claimed that all their belongings as also their passports and other documents were in tact.
It appears that the co-passenger had offered them eatables laced with drugs with a view to decamping with their belongings but could not execute his plan owing to some difficulty, the SP said adding a case has been registered at the GRP police station in Allahabad.

Why are foreigners never safe in India?
