Five Indians have been detained in Bangladesh for allegedly trying to smuggle in 36 gold bars concealed inside their rectum into the country believed to be a major conduit to sneak in the yellow metal into India.
Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) officials detained them from a bus in Jessore district and seized the gold bars weighing 4.4 kg yesterday, The DailyStar reported.

Bijoy Kumar Chandra, Ruhith Ashok, Komal Otharar and Raj Kumar of Nagpur, and Rakesh of Ahmadabad arrived at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka from Dubai on June 19, the report quoted Col Motiur Rahman, commanding officer of BGB 26 Battalion as saying.

Bangladesh is believed to be a major conduit for smuggling gold into India, where the demand for the yellow metal is high and makes smuggling attractive after import curbs by New Delhi to cut-down foreign exchange outflow.

Yesterday, the five Indians came to Benapole by a bus and completed their immigration process to return to India. But instead of crossing the border, they mysteriously boarded a Jessore-bound bus, said Rahman.

After being informed, a BGB team chased the bus and detained them. Later, BGB officials recovered 36 gold bars hidden inside their rectum, he added. On Friday, Indian Customs officials held four persons crossing over from Bangladesh via Benapole border and seized 57 gold bars from their possession.

On June 5, Bangladesh authorities seized 48 gold bars worth over USD 300,000 at Dhaka airport. The gold bars were found hanging from a black cloth inside the cargo hold-off in a Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight.

If you still wanna try then go ahead but i think you're simply overestimating your capability.You can try as much as you want byt at the end of the day N.E.India will remain a part of this nation because most of the insurgency movements there are either dead or on the verge of getting extinct.So i don't think that you'll be able to stir any popular insurgency movement at present in that region.Plus we have to consider the fact that the N.E.Indians have got some special hatred for your countrymen and believe this hatred is growing by the each passing day thanks to the untiring efforts of the GoI.So all your plans regarding N.E.India will fail miserably.On the other hand if we want we can simply stir up armed rebellion in your entire country by inciting the Chakmas,communists etc.Plus our biggest advantage is our economy which is like 10 times of yours,so we have got much more resources at our disposal to destabilize your little country.So don't try to stir the hornet's nest unnecessarily....

First learn the difference between Autonomy and independence. Separatist groups in North East are still seeking independence while Shanti Bahini has already gave up its call for autonomy, they never sought independence from Bangladesh. You can never incite such insurgency as we are a homogeneous nation. But the ethnic relations in India is as fragile as hell, you don't even have proper communication system between mainland India and North East. It won't be a big deal for us to disintegrate India, trust me. Even your government knows how much you are dependent on us.

ULFA have no local support, why do u think they moved to Bangladesh? They rarely do anything anymore. If their was local support for NE insurgents then the situation would be comparable to Afghanistan due to the terrain. NE insurgencies are just insignificant guerrilla groups.

If so then how would you say these organizations have no support? Besides, issues like racism against the North East people by the mainland Indians are also on rise.

If you are following events then you would know that ULFA have dropped demand for independence. Their members are just disenfranchised youth who have failed their studies so they join these groups but like I said they have dropped their demand for independence.
