There is no scientific way to measure friendliness as it is a very personal impression. Still there are some nations that boast the title of the friendliest, most welcoming or most hospitable people in the world. Whether various surveys and rankings are right or not, each of us has probably visited one or two countries where the locals' kindness has exceeded our expectations.

well.im sure the Irish people are the most kind and friendly people.

Based on my experiences, I'd go with the Iranian people; and I'm not speaking about the City people, but more about people who live in smaller towns and rural areas and who don't know a word of English or any foreign language at all. They've got to get my vote on this matter.

Of course, I need to add a disclaimer; I've never been to Georgia and have only passed through Ireland.

I am in Canada and it is friendly.. No way.. I feel South Africa was way friendly than these people (except those extra friendly people who mug you).

I met few Iranians and Turkish people here and they are very simple and friendly people. These are 2 countries where I would love to go. Somehow I found French do not gel with the others somehow.

well,everything changed during my travel to bulgaria.i stayed at a hotel which so many Jordanians were staying at there too.i found those people very secular,friendly and polite.
Question:why do you people spend most of your time in the lobby?
