There won't be reconciliation or anything. We didn't get this far just to negotiate with the family that oppressed us for 45 years.Too many people have died
With no end in sight to end of hostilities let alone a final settlement plus it has become a battleground of local and international players...
Eventually when the conflict is over perhaps a truth and reconciliation commission could be set-up like that in South Africa but highly unlikely considering the amount of blood spelled
What happens to the allawite minority???There won't be reconciliation or anything. We didn't get this far just to negotiate with the family that oppressed us for 45 years.
Exactly what happens to everyone else. Freedom, even though Alawites historically abused everyone else (and still do,) we're going to be the better people and let them live in Freedom (unless individuals did atrocities, of course they'll be brought to justice.)What happens to the allawite minority???
The only way the war will end is that people fighting for Assad or who form his support base are made to realize that they too will have a future in a post-Assad SyriaExactly what happens to everyone else. They don't see a future for themselves because they're used to being the ones in power, the ones who can do anything and can get away with it, the ones who makes millions of drug trafficking, etc.The only way the war will end is that people fighting for Assad or who form his support base are made to realize that they too will have a future in a post-Assad Syria
People in Syria need to sort it out among themselves
Unfortunately first with the foreign jihadi injection in the rebel ranks and than on the side of the regime the Hezbullah involvement from Lebanon plus soon more from Iraq that looks unlikely
Brother as you now live in the U.S surely you should have a more broad view of thisThey don't see a future for themselves because they're used to being the ones in power, the ones who can do anything and can get away with it, the ones who makes millions of drug trafficking, etc.
The majority of them don't want to live in a society that doesn't allow these things.
Brother as you now live in the U.S surely you should have a more broad view of this
Now i can't judge you sitting here
Your ppl have lost a lot of blood
But you are proposing a complete victory against a people
That cannot be achieved within the current cicumstances
That means more bloodshed
The longer this goes on the longer the Syrian ppl act as pawns in a game played by greater powers
Assad is responsible for the mess in the first place4 Years Rebellion in Syria and Rebellion cannot be Revolution.
Revolution = 1 Nation + 1 Leader + 1 Voice. There is only 1 leader in Syria = Asad.
Asad Still Enjoys support of over 50% of syrians. while dozens of gangs cannot compete him.
Basically the Rebel Gangs have made the life of Syrians worst and destroyed their country.
It was a very nice option that Free Elections be held in Syria under UN Supervision.
But the Nato backed Rebel Gangs refused to accept Asad as one of the candidate.
President Asad has backing and good support of his people in Syria. Over 50% syrians support him.
These rag tag nato backed rebels are divided into several dozen gangs and would have divided syria.
Syria is united till Asad is there and If he falls then syria will be divided into several parts as these Rebel gangs continuously suck blood of each other along with fighting the regime.
Assad is responsible for the mess in the first place
Commiting the massacre in Hama when there were peaceful demonstrations going on
The way things are going victory of one side means a complete massacre of the other side
There has to be give and take and that can't happen with Assad still in power
The other soln. would be to just divide the country along sectarian lines
