I am quite sure he is a Pakistan citizen as well, as he holds NICOP.

Having NICOP means a person may have acquired a foreign nationality, but has not given up his Pakistani nationality.

Having POC (Pakistan Origin Card) means a person has denounced his Pakistani nationality and has acquired a foreign nationality.

I support the article which bars dual nationality holders from sitting in the parliament, the very same article which is not implemented.

But if someone (excluding the tried politicians, their close relatives and friends) is competent enough I would not mind him having dual nationality or getting honorary Pakistani nationality and allowed to run the country. During Musharraf’s time there were also dual nationality holders and did a good job running the country.

TUQ’s stand is to implement the constitution on the politicians and also give the citizens their rights as per the same constitution. Did he ever say he wanted to contest elections?

Even if he stands for elections, leaving aside whether he wins or not, at least try new people. Is getting failed by same people again and again and again better than getting failed by someone new and then choosing another new person?

Name me one politician who contests elections and then does not forget the citizens’ rights and what he should provide them as per the constitution.

The very same citizens who are the back bone of the nation, the very same citizens who give him votes, the very same citizens without whom the politicians would not have seats in the parliaments, hell not even get a job of secretary of any politician in the other country whose passport they hold, the very same citizens who give them votes and the politicians use the power to the best they can to facilitate their personal issues and business and of course they also look after the nation by giving services and giving the rights of the citizens equaling handful of sand, while they the politicians take truck loads from the nation.

Democracy is to allow and facilitate and make sure the finest and best get the chance to run the country, but here we have the same people and their close friends and relatives again and again. Out of 180+ million and 67 years and running we are today not able to produce smart, intelligent, capable people to take charge of the country. So in other words we are dumb and we will only give birth to dumb people. Whereas the politicians are the best ones and they will always and only give birth to smart and capable and intelligent humans who are the best to run the nation.

What I mean is that it is not being implemented in the very first place and is a violation equaling any other violation of the constitution, so why not violate the article for the better of the nation.

Well if the article is strictly implemented then yes, i wont support dual nationality holders in the parliament or assemblies no matter what.

Any violation of the Constitution is a violation that deserves to be condemned and stopped, no matter what it is related to.

It is up to the people to elect and re-elect - or not - their representatives in Parliament. No one else has the constitutional authority to do this but the people themselves by regular elections held according to the provision of law.
