Is it just a coincidence that the attack occurred days after Pakistani officials informed the U.S. that there would be no offensive against the Talibs in N. Wazirstan? Why shouldn't the terrorists attack, then, as they have no fear of retaliation?

A military that treats its soldiers as sitting ducks - what kind of respect should one have for its generals? Or is the civilian government that should be blamed nowadays?

When you come to your ranting you just forget about other things. Don't you know who fought these militants in Swat Valley, in SWA, Orakzai, in Bajaur & Mohmand Agency (especially at the time when US forces ran away leaving behind their bases with all stuff in Nooristan Province of Afghanistan giving these Taliban scum sanctuaries from which they operate till this day and the currect TTP chief stayed safely in Nooristan launching cross border attacks under the protection of ISAF/NATO/US forces). It was the same Army who retook all these locations from these militants. Same military and from same militants. But NWA has a lot of different factors which make an operation in current scenario unfeasible. It will be done when the time comes.

how surprising that Pakistan expressed its unwillingness re North Waziristan and and suddenly there is an attack to convince it otherwise? suspicious.. hmmmm? really Taliban or the those who dress like terrorists and do what their colleagues were caught doing in Iraq and were later on found to be members of US/UK black-ops team? far fetched? yes indeed.. but impossible... errr NO.


re criticism on the generals (military planners) I agree, its poor SOPs , bad training and forgetting that its not a Mosque but a battlefield where the enemy will help you go to heaven if you are not protecting yourself and the post and busy praying as a group .. shocking approach and what a waste of life

that was meant to be an open invitation for an easy attack.
I have no problem with offering prayers and growing beards .. but in the time of war with an enemy, it is better that the prayers are not offered in different times and individually and the sentries watch out for opportunist attack.

this enemy has no morality known to a civilised world. so thinking that it will honour the prayers is a big folly. the same enemy that tosses children in the River Kabul few miles away and rapes and kills their mothers because of their "wrong" sect will respect prayers to Allah?

That's why I stated a policy recommendation earlier that PA needs to start targeting TTP family members. Arrest and kill their wives, daughters, sons, and other relatives if you attack their core you will stop future TTP bastards from being bred. It will also discourage other families of joining the TTP. These families of theirs know very well what their husband or father or sons are involved in, and they are complicit in these terrorist attacks. From what I've read Pakistan army has captured some family members of TTP but it needs to become a policy.

my dear this is what our Saudi friends do to the enemies of the kingdom.
problem at hand is that terrorists have the appetite for bloodshed and they are encouraging other wanabe Jihadists who see these iconic guys walk free from the courts and continue to kill soldiers and Pakistani citizens have devout following and have made plenty of money as well.

attacking them in their homes is the key, use blackops, special ops, Pakistan ops whatever name you give them but they need to break into their homes while they are sleeping or eating and then execute them and video tape it and celebrate it just like the Israelis do. air raid them, video tape the gunship taking their vehicles out, trust me, our forces will start getting the support and following of our population because everyone follows the winner (not the whiner).

i am terribly sorry for the behaviour shown by some of my compatriots in this forum.i know that we consider each other as arch enemies but personally i think that even in enmity one should maintain a certain level of decency.a soldier,irrespective of his country commands certain respect from all of us and i for one believe in this principle.anyways R.I.P. to those brave soldiers who made the supreme sacrifice for their Homeland.......
