4 Minerva Class corvettes to join Bangladesh Coast Guard

still wrong, Pakistan is not mid sized military force, it has pretty strong airforce and army, lack in navy though. still it is in top 15 armed forces. u can afford 2 fronts like bd and sri lanka together
and still india will loose isn't it .....:enjoy:

.
Not really. Pakistan for us is only a mid sized military force. For smaller nations, it might appear to be big.

Think of this, most of our new acquisitions are not going to the Pakistani border, they are not being procured to fight with Pakistan. All of it is being deployed in the East for China or South for general capability upgradation. Heck an entire new Strike Corps is being raised now with a cost of over $10 billion and it is not geared for Pakistan.

At just 2% GDP expenditure on our military, Pakistan has ceased to be a viable military threat(military threat means Pakistan's ability to attack India, not defend) except for propaganda purposes by Military to secure more funding from GoI.

The global average of Military spending is 3% of GDP with both China and US exceeding 3%.

The last GoI under Congress was not interested in raising the Military's capabilities dramatically. And the new GoI is quite adamant on increasing the military capabilities exponentially.

Oh and the Indian Military feels that if the GoI supports it (which it is now) it can ensure a two front war with Pakistan and China. So I would leave it to the professionals rather than let an online 'warrior' talk about Lanka and BD.

Please show proof of the above statement, China has never exceeded GDP of 2% on defence. Infact China spends a lot less then india as a percentage of its GDP on defence then india does.

Overall, SIPRI estimates that total Chinese military spending is about 55 per cent higher than the total central and local defence budget. For example, SIPRI’s estimate for China’s military spending in 2012 was 1049 billion yuan ($166 billion), compared to the official defence budget of 669 billion yuan.
Mar. 2014: Deciphering China’s latest defence budget figures — www.sipri.org

Then there are US DoD reports on their estimates of China's expenditure.

Pentagon - China has under-reported its 2014 defence spending by about 20%, according to an annual report put out by the US defence department.
BBC News - China under-reports defence spending, says US

Then there is the Quadrennial Defence Review

The point is that China is not at all transparent on its military expenditure and all non-Chinese estimates show that China grossly under-reports its expenditure on defense - to what extent is the question and there lies the possibility of error.

Don't bash your head against fanbois.
Next he will come up and say India only has the capability to fight Bhutan and Bangladesh and ask to post military equipment lists to compare.

So we have to believe your assumption that China is not transparent but india is? The US DOD always oversetimates the threat of China, it has to to keep congress paying the defence bills. Even if you take the inflated SIPRI estimates it still is less then 2% of Chinas GDP, so how is that above 3%. Quit lying!

Is there something wrong with you?
SIPRI estimates that their defense budget is 55% more than what is reported.
Their reported budget was 2.0% of their GDP in 2013.
So a 50% increase would make it what....~ 3%.

Have you read your own link? It says the 2012 defence budget is estimated to be 55% above what is reported . Clearly it states that the budget is 1049b yuan and not 669b yuan, 1049b yuan is $166b.

Even if you take the $166b as true, the GDP for China in 2012 was $8.229t, so thats just still 2% of Chinas GDP,

I'll try to make it simple for you.

China says the defence budget is 669b yuan
SIPRI say no its 55% higher 1049b yuan

1049b yuan is $166b, and as the GDP for China was $8.229t in 2012, thats still 2% of their GDP. Learn to read.

I see. My mistake on skimming through the article. You are correct then, China spends more or less around 2%.

You provided a link to support your argument and you even failed to fully read the conclusion, SIPRI themselves say that China has a defence budget between 2% to 2.1% which is less then the global average of 2,4%. How dumb are you?
