There were killing every where in Bangladesh during th war but question is who carried out the survey that 370 hindus/muslim were killed that day ? was there any scientific inquiry how many people died in the incident. unfortunately our now a days seems to me we were not told true history . history the way who heard in our boyhood seems that when ever the army got any Banglai they shoot at them and their only duty was to killed and rap .

Dude, it would not be difficult for you to find someone 50 or 60 years old or older.

I am not getting into the debate of whether so many Hindus were killed in one day or not.

Are Bengalis still crying about this. We Pakistanis should accept the mistakes of the past so we do not repeat them. We have to give equal rights to every citizen residing in Pakistan for us to progress.

PPP should be banned from Pakistani politics for its role in the war and the intolerance of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto. Yahya and Tikka Khan should have been punished. But alas. There are still many problems we need to deal with and those who took part in killing Bengalis should be punished. Despite this I am requesting Bangladeshis to understand that India is not a well-wisher. It did what it did because it was in its interests to do so. India is not a noble knight in all of this.

India eventually got what it wanted. 320 Million Muslims would have been in one country if they hadn't connived against the union and we hadn't made mistakes. Muslims would have been much more powerful and in a much better position. Eventually East Pakistan would have gotten its rights too. India now controls Bangladesh's water, what goods enter it and everything else. The primary benefactor from what happened in 1971 was India which saw a divided and much weaker Pakistan.

By dividing further and further we will only weaken. However the choice of the Bangladeshi people comes first. If they wanted independence its perfectly their choice. Just don't hate us. The Pakistani majority had no part in what happened or in stealing the rights of Bengalis.

Democracy should have been given a chance in East Pakistan too. If people voted for someone, he should have been allowed to rule. But past is past. Let's hope to have a brighter future by having good relations between Indian, Bangladesh, Pakistan, China and Russia. That's the truth, but nobody's got the wherewithal to face it, It sounds more exotic and brave to claim one is sired from central asia or from arab sperms than from plain old Indian.
