It is extremely unfortunate that 37 Pakistani Hindus feel this way. Pakistan is going through a crisis right now, not just for Hindus, but for people of all faiths including Muslims. There are much more than 37 Muslims fleeing Pakistan, let me assure you of that. I don't think it is too different in India either.

But I just wanted to let everyone know about the Hindu population in Pakistan. In Sindh, there are 6.84 million Hindus, in Punjab, there are 0.35 million Hindus, in KP/NWFP, there are 21000 Hindus, & in Balochistan, there are about 0.12 million Hindus. All in all, the Hindu population in Pakistan is close to 7.5 million people, not small by any stretch of the imagination, & one which has grown significantly since 1947 (excluding East Pakistan's Hindu population in 1947 onwards).

The Pakistan government is notorious for underestimating the non-Muslim population figures in Pakistan, as it is the "Islamic Republic of Pakistan". So the reality lies somewhere in the middle. Anyone who has been to different parts of Pakistan sees numerous Christians & Hindus in their everyday lives. I think there are at least 5 million Hindus & 5 million Christians residing in Pakistan today. That isn't the point though, the point is that there is still a sizeable population left; & there are many successful Pakistani Hindus in powerful positions today. There are many disgruntled Muslims, Hindus, Christians: disgruntled Pakistanis these days, & this needs to be rectified.

How do u expect a better treatment in other parts of world when other religions in an Islamic country have to suffer like this, take any Muslim state(except Turkey) u ll find discrimination against non muslims and after that u complain about French policies against ur religions...wat a hypocracy

The fact that in spite of being Dalits(if they are) they are moving to India shows that they still believe they will be happier in India then Pakistan . There must be something seriously wrong with Pakistan that they are leaving for India in spite of the Indian caste system .
