What's new

33,000 sq.km. of new land rising in the Bay of Bengal

@bluesky

Neel Akash dada,

How much will be our share?

Regards
Zero. But, we must thank India for sending sand and silts to our small country called Bangladesh.

Actually, this process has been continuing since after the rising of the Himalaya above ground about 60 million years ago. This is about 80 million years after the Indian plate broke from the Gondwanan plate and moved northward to hit the south of Asian mainland. There was no land that we call now Bengal at that time.

But, anyway, thank you India.

Convert those land segments into eco diversity zones- make protected forests and let other big animals migrate there like Tigers . Big tourism opportunity with safari + water recreations and resorts. you can earn billions plus not much of infra investment needed plus give country very positive image across world.

There is one island named Nijhum Dwip where there are about 20,000 deers but tigers have not been allowed there.

Most of the islands are inhabited scarcely and a few have been converted to military training/ exercise grounds.

I do not think ferocious animals would ever be allowed to settle in any of these islands. The Sundarbans will remain their exclusive habitat.

Great news. Thanks to Allah, he is expanding

Is it not the natural phenomenon that created the Himalayas about 60 million years ago? The land we know as India moved gradually @2 cm per year after breaking away from Gondwana super-continent 140 million years ago. The Himalaya was gradually created, rainfalls brought about the sands and silts, and the land of Bengal was created many million years ago. The continuous siltation process continues and new lands are formed in the BoB.
