300 Taliban fighters from Afg attack Frontier Corps post

. .
No, its not NATO. The are more into the habit of friendly fire mistake excuses, bombing our posts and then claiming its a friendly fire incident or other friendly fire incidents.

Then who is it if its not NATO, Afghan Taliban or TTP??? Was it the ANA???

. .
Is the NATO/ANA replying to the perceived blind eye of the Pakistan Army to the Afghan Taliban holed out in North Waziristan ?

. . .
Can you provide a source..where US has directly opposed fencing the border on Pakistani side?

Well USA is not here to stay ..hence they might not be interested in anything permanent...but they are moving towards temp sollution such as Aerostats which can detect infiltration.
Besides you blame them and they blame you!! but none of you want to fence the border..seems you both have hidden agenda behind not fencing it.

Afghan troops have torn down part of a new anti-Taleban fence being erected by Pakistan on the border between the two countries, officials in Kabul say.
They say the move led to fighting between Afghan and Pakistani troops.

But Pakistan has denied the fence claim, saying the clashes started after one of its patrols came under fire.
The actual reason why Afghans oppose the fence.

The Afghan government has been strongly opposed to Pakistani plans to build the fence, because it argues that such a move would make the disputed border between the two countries become a permanent boundary.

As far as I remember Pakistan had a similar problem..when India started fencing its own border with Pakistan..but that did not deter India from fencing the border.

CNN article is from 2005 ..It had been 6 yrs ..If Pakistan really wanted it could build the fence many times over in this amount of time.

So Afghan Govt want free movement between the border without any checks and also complain about cross border infiltration....

The case between Afghanistan and Pakistan is not like India And Pakistan....There are many other factors to take into consideration specially that we want friendly relationship with Afghanistan. And such building fence and destroying by ANA will only lead to clash between ANA and PA and increasing tension between countries.

And oh Afghan govt doesn't care about the tribals... This is what Karzai's real agenda is

Now that is bull crap ..you are ready endanger your own security because you think Afghan govt's feelings might get hurt.
Afghan govt also claims that you are also supporting AT..why don't you stop supporting them...to promote friendlier retaions?
These are but lame excuses.

If you want free movement people across the border then make armed checkpoints with on arrival visa facility...atleast it will stem the flow of militants and drugs
There is an agenda, why none of you want to fence the border.

Afghan Govt accuse.... But proofs are never there... But hey Who called anti Pakistan Baloch respectable guests, anyway .... go and count the number of AT and Al Qaeda captured and Handed over by Pakistan.... Yeah we support AT thats why we arrested the top leadership and handed them over to Americans...

... Your post shows you have no knowledge about the matter you are discussing... Do you know what kind of terrain it is.. You'll need to put a foot soldier on every 20 meters to have a full check on crossing civilians if the border have no fence. Arrival Visa, How about a swap card which they can swap and record entry and exit, Sounds really good in theory but in practical we'll need to put an officer every 1 kilometer atleast to give this arrival visa... The officer wont work for free, He'll need resources, He'll need record access, And on what basis will he issue visa. How many afghans are registered or have any official documents??

This is circular argument which I do not want to get into..my point is that your excuse that you are not fencing the border Afghan govt won't like it is lame ..because they are already accusing you of supporting terrorist..so why not?

Nothing will happen with that kind attitude ..even 5 yrs later we will be having the same discussion...because like a your govt even some of you also believe in creating a lot of noise.. whenever there is an attack..do nothing about and then sit quiet till the next attack happens.

"Erect a fence, create a manned check point every 100 km, make temporary documents at the check points itself, take thumb impression for ID..issue visa to the person who can show they have relatives or property across the border.etc"

That is just off the top of my head..one can chalk out exact course of a action..if one want to act on it.

As i said before your suggestion looks quite good at Papers..... The decision will be taken by Civilian govt if they want to or not want to fence.... As Pakistan is receiving aid from US it will oblige some things US wants (which US dont ask directly but from Karzai's puppet Govt). And the link i posted before says that Pakistan did tried to fence but ANA destroyed it... So now if you want a fence and then dozens of dead ANA soldiers who came to destroy it then OK you are right...we should build a fence... Otherwise we'll try to talk it out.
