These pot shot killings of soldiers across the LoC really serves no purpose. It can only be described as utter stupidity. On the one hand Indians claim that they fire or shell whenever the Pakistani army tries to send militants across the LoC and on the other, the Pakistani army claims that they fire or shell whenever the Indians indiscriminately fire or shell into civilian areas. Both countries have sizeable populations to conscript additional men to replace those knocked off. So what exactly is the purpose of taking pot shots at Aslam or Raj once in a while save to get a feel good moment?

Reminds them that the LOC is not permanent. That someday, the rest of Kashimir WILL be taken.

Infact, india buried many pakistani soldiers died in kargil war. Pakistan did not take their bodies back.
