We should ask the United States gov't to include the MILF in the list of terror organization. Malaysia should stop funding and arming the MILF. Filipinos should unite.

Re-include them again. I remember that they were on the list before.

It's time to wake up as their actions is now clearly a desire to secede from us!

I can't imagine how these young and less experienced policemen came face to face in a close hand-to-hand combat with hardened and experience MILF and BIFF fighters.

MANILA, Philippines - The Palace on Wednesday urged the owner of the video which showed the brutal slaying of an injured member of the Philippine National Police-Special Action Force (PNP-SAF) in a gun battle in Maguindanao, to take it offline.

"Whoever uploaded the video is a heartless fellow. If you still have some humanity left in your soul, we ask you to take it down," Presidential Spokesperson Edwin Lacierda said during a briefing in Malacañang.

The video, showing a wounded uniformed man lying down in a corn field and being shot at close range by an unseen combatant, has been spreading on social media.

Also shown in the video were several other bloodied men wearing camouflage uniforms, as well as the looting of tactical equipment, such as vests and ammunition.

Asked if the Palace has any message to the public regarding the video, Lacierda said:

"You have a right to be angry. You have a right to be outraged by such a brutal display of violence. But at the end of the day, we need to seek the truth. We need to find justice for all of those who died, including the SAF hero who was in that video. And that is what we intend to do."

The PNP-SAF commandos were on a mission to get Malaysian terrorist Zulkifli bin Hir, alias "Marwan", and bombing expert Basit Usman on January 25 in Mamasapano, Maguindanao, but they encountered forces of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) and Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters (BIFF) in the area.

The ensuing clash left 44 SAF troopers dead. Also killed were 18 MILF fighters and at least five civilians. Marwan is said to have been killed in the operation but Usman managed to escape.

If your one of the family members of that fallen SAF, you like the video to circulate so everybody can see how brutally he was killed? I don't think so, they have already suffer too much pain. Somebody report that jerry tan for uploading this kind of video.

I can't imagine how these young and less experienced policemen came face to face in a close hand-to-hand combat with hardened and experience MILF and BIFF fighters.

Some of them were veterans in the Zambo seige but I think they're not familiar with the place where Marwan was hiding. Come to think of it that the commanding officer of the blocking force place his unit in a dangerous position that when firing starts they have no place to go.

If you really want revenge, then unleash ILAGA secretly.

Yes. Napakalaking OO. Pnoy should step down.

Boy Ngisi should step down? Are you crazy? Im sorry pare pero malaking kagaguhan yan, you let Binay be pres for 2 years and a possible 6 more years? I know you and cossack hate pnoy and for what reason I don't need to know, but dont let your hate be the reason in influencing your judgement on the matter.

O.T.
Take note on today's senate hearing that when BBL passed the MILF is asking for 70 billion, and the AFP modernization 90 billion o_O

In case Aquino 3rd gets "knock off" from his current position, the Senate should be the caretaker of government until 2016, not that brownie from Makati.

And oh, the post that has the video is now reported, let's see whether the Mods and Admins will take action or not.

WHO'S LYING? | President's men say he wasn't briefed on SAF until 5 p.m., but PNoy says otherwise

MANILA - Contrary to what his subalterns claimed before congressional probers, President Benigno Aquino III knew, starting early morning of Jan. 25, what had happened to Oplan Exodus, the antiterrorist mission that led to the deaths of 44 police commandos.

The time at which information on the controversial operation in Mamasapano, Maguindanao first reached him was volunteered by the President himself in his "pep talk" before SAF members early morning of Jan. 30, as shown in the RTVM video provided to news organizations

In hearings at the House on Wednesday and at the Senate on Thursday, various officials declined to give the precise moment at which Mr. Aquino first learned that something horribly wrong had befallen the mission, and there were many SAF casualties. At one point, Sec. Mar Roxas said they didn't brief him on Mamasapano at once because he was getting briefings on the aftermath of the previous day's Zamboanga bombing.

The only one who gave the slightest idea of timing was Western Mindanao Command (Westmincom) chief Rusty Guerrero, who said the President was briefed at about 5p.m.

At the Senate on Thursday were Secretary Mar Roxas, the AFP chief of staff Gen. Gregorio Catapang, Defense Secretary Voltaire Gazmin, and tranking PNP officials - even suspended PNP chief Alan Purisima, whose intervention is being blamed for the lack of coordination between the police and the AFP, which could have reduced the number of SAF casualties - but no one replied when Poe asked when was the President briefed. The same line of questioning was made by Sens. Nancy Binay and Miriam Santiago, but no satisfactory response came.

Here, in Mr. Aquino's own words (pertinent portion starts at 5:25 of the video timer) before SAF members last Jan. 30, is the time he got wind of what was happening in Mamasapano:

The President, as previous reports said, was met with complete silence by the SAF, despite his repeated attempts to coax them to speak up, even vent if they felt bad about what happened.

As much as everyone wants to blame Aquino, the fact is that beyond the initial go-ahead given to arrest/kill Marwan, the tactical aspects of the operations are beyond his competency.

Do we really expect Aquino to know anything and everything about military tactics, or all the realities on the ground? Absurd.

I do not want to be a pest but I want to point out the obvious. When the non muslim people of Indonesia or East Timur were demanding independence then every western country and America were keen to give it to them. When the Moro people in Philippines demand the same no one is ready to grant them independence.

Anyway when violence is used to achieve targets, especially attacks on the same religious or ethnic group these people claim to support then it is clear that they do not have the best interests of the local people at heart. The movement should not target innocent civilians and villagers.
