Indian students must follow the local law if they don't then its not the fault of Australian Govt to send them home. Not good for the Australian economy though as it was a 35 billion dollar industry making it the 3rd largest economical driver for Australian economy for many years. Now people are leaving and also i have heard that the visa applications have dropped by 50%.

Australian immigration system is in a chaos after the inconclusive elections which ended up with a fragile labor govt. Mass skilled migration is vital for Australia's progress but labor govt is undermining it in order to keep its blue color voters happy who do not want to see foreign workers taking jobs. In the long run this can turn out to be one of the biggest mistakes made by this Govt.

30,000 Indian students have left Australia, 30,000 Chinese or Pakistan students have replaced them :)

and therefore many education institutes are closing due to insufficient number of students....

many more in pipeline in melbourne..... mark my words..

and yes, according to you, 30,000 chinese and **** student has replaced indian students.... that's why, the marketing staff of many EDUCATION INSTITUTES OWNED BY CHINESE are literally begging to the indian education agents for students... P.S. i am a migration and education consultant and i know the trend much better than anyone here in the forum.

i am neither saying that the attacks are reason nor pointing towards anything else. but the number is declined sharply and that's true.

No change for Indians or Australian education industry :pop:

A drop will be seen in those taking IELTS in India ,as Australians universities are particular about it.
