Why would Tafu benefit by attacking his own stronghold.
Its just TTP scums are going all out after Military gave a 15 day deadline to tribals to get rid of Militants otherwise Military is all set for a massive operation in NWA. Additional armour and troops have already been called in. All the haqqanis have already moved to afghanistan according to media reports so in short Afghan Taliban left TTP in cold.

Recently General Raheel Shareef had said that the whole nation has rejected the misplaced ideology of the terrorists. We all have seen in the last few days the mayhem created by the terrorists from the border town of Taftan near Iran to Karachi and the overwhelming response of the nation to fight back against these killers. The terrorists are determined to destabilize Pakistan but we should be glad that the security forces are even more determined to defeat the enemy. We are saddened by the loss of so many lives in these senseless attacks but at the same time we are happy to see the quick response of the security forces in neutralizing the terrorists. The ongoing security forces sweeps and actions in the northwestern terrorists’ strongholds and in and around Karachi will soon show positive results. We stand united with the people and the military of Pakistan in these testing times. Together our resolve is to bring about sustained peace in the region.
