I think the title of this thread is misleading. You cant put the number of suicides up without looking at the population. Considering the huge population i reckon its a low figure. No big deal nor is it stats to raise an eyebrow.

that's correct. china has vast population.

BTW remember this logic while pointing figures at India for death of hundreds of thousand Indians each year
