A little off topic post, but in my view, quite relavant to the Indo Pak environment.
This whole NATO incident goes to vindicate India's reluctance in joining the IPI project. Doesnt it?
New Recruit
I believe that US should not have killed the pakistani army folks..
When money comes flowing in... we all know who will blink. There is no other end to this snafu.
totally india should stay out of IPI and let its energy starved nation shun progress! tankers were protected so far until they carried out droned attack against our army!
in return what did our army do pull back defense for the tankers! so its all a back door game between NATO & Pakistan Army! its a sign you mess around with us! we retaliate where it hurts you the most!
They were UK troops who were engaged in that particular operation.
Exactly my point. No one can gaurantee that India Pakistan will not have issues down the line. And at that time, Pakistan can blackmail India the same way it is pressurizing NATO at this time. Wouuld be foolish for India to have such a dependence on Pakistan
May be spend a couple of billion dollars extra now, but should look at alternate mechanism/routes for India's energy needs..
Lets put it other way India joins gas project coming from south west and north west and definitely those projects will raise economic stakes of both countries. Pakistan gets gas and royalty and India gets gas for its booming economy and may be some day we find oil pipes from these routes as well. that will be time when both countries will stop raising temperature in days as we see now. Lets see brighter side too.
Look at it today, Pakistan earns royalty from US as well on supply transit. Did not stop Pakistan from leaving these supply tankers open to attack by militants.
