27 SSG Commandos injured in a road accident

Yes I was in that ill fated bus and the accident occured at Mochidhara somewhere between Nathiagali and Dongagali , It was at about 9.20 pm when the accident occured. We lost 16 cadets in that accident including one Saudi Cadet.Our Platoon Commander Major Shujjat Latif had a spinal injury and one cadet was invalided out of service. I have a detailed account of that accident and can post it if you are interested.Did you have any relative in that?

Yes sir, I infact do have a close relative who was involved in that accident. He was the first to come out onto the road after the accident along with a couple of his friends. About 2 weeks back, we visited the same place, and on that turn, there is a little khoka. The guy who runs it was the first man to come in as a rescuer. The old guy and his son(who was 12 years back then), were the first along with some other villagers to come and rescue people. We had a detailed talk with him about the incident.

It was night and rain, and the bus plunged into the ravine.

There is no PM or VM service available or I could have talked with you on that, but let's just talk here!
