250-kg bomb falls off IAF Mirage2K; no one hurt

Had it been some military exercise, you guys hadn't posted and Initiated a thread on the issue. I think you need to push on IAF institutionally as they are taking lives of Indian people too lightly. Few days back the poor maintenance resulted in death of a pilot and now hundred rather life of thousands of people was at risk. Or confirm if IAF has started some "social services" to control the population of India.

Didn't you read the article?

The bomb fell in an uninhabited area and no one was injured. Where the hell did the entire "IAF trying to kill thousands of people" come into the picture?

And by the way, accidents like these do happen. In 1957, a thermonuclear bomb accidentally fell off a USAF plane -

In 2007, a RAF Tornado GR4 dropped a bomb by accident during a training exercise -
Inquiry begins over the mystery of missing bomb (From The Northern Echo)

And you are talking as if PAF is immune to fighter crashes. Remember this -

Whats the point? The bomb fell off means it wasn't release intentionally. It detonated in uninhabited area but doesn't justified the maintenance lapses? It was a near-miss and responsible organizations take near-miss as full-accident. Now it is for you to decide if IAF is one such organization or not.

What if it Falls on Population Area ..

Big Maintenance Lapse

. . .
May be pilot was playing with the bomb in his hands and it just fell off........... LOL

then people would have died.simple as that!bottomline is it was obviously an accident...now whether it was due to pilot error or due to loading error or some kind of pylon malfunction, none knows.but i would be highly surprised if it was a pilot error since this is one of the strategic squadrons of IAF.....pilots manning the planes are mostly very senior officers with thousands or flying hrs.

.
You mean India needs them :partay:

oh no,they are for you guys only.we will sit in the corner and shiver in fear with our poorly trained armed forces with inferior aircaft carriers, nuke subs,su 30s etc:D
