Mashallah i hope it is true ! if only our gov and great minds can put it to work for the right purpose!

This can help meet the power requirements very well , as claimed for 100 yrs.
Good NEWS for pak.

yes, they may indeed find the coal but just how they evaluated the value as the twice of usa gdp, you know you must have enough consumption to turn that storage into cash and then the socioenvironment cost must be deducted from that value as the burning of coal will release co2 which pollutes your vital breathing air...

Even if it is worth 0.25 trillion our govt will sell it to Israel anyways...

we can generate 50000 megawatts for 500 years by only coal of thar

Please, have been hearing this crap for sooo long now, the reality is that the most of the coal in Pakistan is of a lower grade and cannot be used in energy generation, it is also tougher to mine. If there was even 10% of the amount of coal that you are saying exist, Pakistan would be a different country now. Fact of the matter is that this is just another " We are the best but foreign hands prevent us from rising" theory.

lol if true u'd be the worlds biggest economy btw who did the estimation zaid hamid??!!

Why did we need Zaid Hamid, when we have our own statistician and economist Riaz Haq.

You Indians do like to rub each other up the wrong way....... don't mean to spoil your party, but the fact is that these Coal reserves are already being tapped into, the first stock was damp coal, now they are bringing out the production lot and Compressors are reportedly being installed for the power generation.
