a 24 hour curfew has been imposed in entire Malakand Division.
The Curfew will be observed from 12 Pm tonight to 12 noon Wednesday.

an operation is likely to be conducted im not sure but just a guess.

And Guys please pray for me as i was saved narrowly in the blast in my area today wherein one was killed.
i was going to office and the net cafe is just on the road i cross daily.Keep me in your prayer

.
Our prayers are with you Jana Ji. Please stay safe.

There is breaking news on Aaj that "Shangla has been captured by the militants". Any verification of this? Any troops captured, or is this a "tactical retreat" as well, in light of the impending operation?

.
Jana,

Insurgency is a very dicey thing.

Be very careful when you move. Keep watching all over and mentally check for anything that appears 'suspicious' like garbage or rubble or a glint (which could be from a weapon) and things like that.

Avoid roads that are natural places where people congregate i.e. markets, theatres etc.

Banzai = May you live a thousand years!

.
avoid crowds and windows. Crowds are more attractive targets and glass is a potential razor storm. Also compare time zones yours to New York's or London's. Try and time your travel after the end of a Western News day.

Thanks everybody.

zraver i would be asking you something.

But Guys please
Suggest

Should i go to Malakand tomorrow ?????
I had to give my name tonight for the list of Journalists going there tomorrow

Agno i guess today there is no need for varification isnt it ?? :)

and let me post some new development, it was also not tactical rather seriouse

.
The operation should be peaceful but could turn out in heavy fighting if there is a lot potential threat.. which obviously seems to be there. But i am guessing those terrorist SOBs will find a way to escape since they know its coming. Then there on.. there will be presence of military..and they will be on the run?

.
Good to know you are safe Jana JI.

As far as going to Malakand, I don't think any of us have a right to tell you how to do your job, and no one can criticize you for whatever decision you take. But please, if you do go, ask the Mullah's that since they believe "everyone" wants Shariah law, why don't they run their candidates on that platform in the elections, and if the people like them, then they can legislate to have it applicable to their areas, rather than making everyones life miserable.

Awaiting your comments on the new developments.

Ok Agno let me clear one thing the imposition of Sharia is not the Problem nor i see any harm in its imposition. The people of Swat dont mind it also.

Now what is the main problem, we need to understand that all the Swat saga had started recently i mean we need to see how on earth the miscreants started attacking armymen and scaring people in the areas just few months back ?????.

We need to understand that who is using these militants the like of Fazlullah and his men some of them also foriegners who are involved in slaughtering security men as well as common people.
Had anyone of you noticed the map issued by the US Armed Forces Journal recently??
It is the first map issued by US army showing so many changes the geography of Pakistan.

If we take this map seriously and analyse what is going on here pluse the recent surge in reports from so -called think tanks calling for capturing our nukes and if you guys had noticed all these reports had been exploited and highlighted by all our enemies widely.

( Ican ask the Mullah even without going there and BTW my family is not allowing me to Go. My brother is going there on behalf of his News Channel ;)]

.
This is the latest i am posting my report bellow about the happening during curfew and also today.
pardon me for submiting it in hurry.

.
What artillary do the militants have?

Is the article referring to mortars or larger pieces.

.
Mortars

and the militants are also using other devices vary attack to attack.
These Include IED also.

.
IED is nothing compared to artillery.

I wonder how militants can have artillery.

It is time they are sorted out.

I heard an interview on BBC where Musharraf is to quit as a Chief. Before he goes, these people must be shown there place, if indeed Musharraf is thinking of leaving as the Chief!
