And the rehearsals begin...

Just heard the sound of jets above and went upstairs...could only manage to capture the trailing AWACS with my phone.

Poor cell shots...Just 3 types of helis just now, I missed the first formation of three Bell Hueys, then the above one and two formation helis went by.

For starters I guess and probably the rest will join in coming days of rehearsals...

Then only heard the Solo jet performances, too far for any pics and the dusty and hazy sky didn't help either.

I sure hope @Stealth and others caught the real deal up close and some nice clicks to share.

Nothing special in F16 fly past except that they now carry AIM120.

Same old mirages but JF-17s are new.

APCs and Tanks are the same but new(er) Missiles and Tech gets introduced.

Then there is always a chance for the armed forces to flex their muscles internationally if required and ask friendly countries to participate but that's not always the case. Still has its diplomatic usefulness as the political government performance is next to zero in that area.

Helis are also not just the same old but Agusta AW-139s, Zulus and Mi-35 are eagerly awaited and anticipated.

I don't know if your argument is about older stuff or the very notion of parade. It definitely has its pros and cons for third world countries. In a security state like Pakistan, we need to give its forces their graceful show of force.
