Li Qiang is likely to be promoted to premier is little surprise considering recently he didnt manage the pandemic crisis in Shanghai well, but the evaluation is based on long term I know. Xi Jinping went too far this time.

He is obviously helping Ding Xuexiang defeat Hu Chunhua. Hu Chunhua continued to serve as Vice Premier, while Ding Xuexiang became a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau. This means that Ding Xuexiang has become Xi's successor, while Hu Chunhua is the next Prime Minister.

Their successor positions have been exchanged. The successor of Xi Jinping has become Ding Xuexiang, and Hu Chunhua will become Prime Minister.

If Wang Yang has not become a member of the Central Committee, it means that he has retired.

If Wang Yang is not going to be the Vice Premier, and Hu Chunhua is not the right age, then I think Li Qiang will be Prime Minister.
