about Urdu language, i don't think it destroyed regional languages except Punjabi. even today Sindhi, Balauchi, Pakhtoon all speak their language with their kids except Punjabis.
the funny thing about them is their kids become a mixture of Punjabi/Urdu and the way those kids speak is ridiculous.

Urdu was born in Punjab and UP. So there is no question of destroying Punjabi.

Won't the West remember this anniversary ? While i condemn any kind of violence one should not forget the violence erupted after some muslim goons burnt a train carrying hindu men,women and chidren..in the violence that followed even 250 hindus died..they were riots.
However these riots made sure there werent any more hindu muslim riots in future..these riots have made sure there wont be any more large scale loss of human lives like that of in the multiple riots tht preceded 2002.
The only riots that happened at somewhat medium scale after this were 2013 muzaffarnagar riots and 2020 delhi riots both of which were started by muslims and ended by hindus. Muzaffarnagar riots helped bjp sweep UP parliament seats and later bjp form the state govt with absolute majority in UP for thefirst time.
Muslims of india over the years learnt that for every action of theirs there will be 100 times more reaction from hindus...hindus of current generation are not hindus of 1947 or 1990s who were silent spectators ofthe killing of theirbrothers and sisters( like genocide of kashmir pundits).
