2018 - deadline for Taiwan invasion?

The deadline for an invasion of Taiwan passed some time ago. Politically, economically and logistically it is now a non starter.

Every year China and Taiwan become a little closer, economically the damage done by an invasion even if possible would destroy any value Taiwan holds for China. The trade ban was lifted now free trade deals are in negotiation, China will not win Taiwan by force but by patience and cash.

Even if China can win by force, I would like to see China win ROC without using any force.

Yes, by patience and I would like to add diplomacy with patience, instead of cash. What is the need to win a war using force, if you can win without using force? China needs to win the hearts of all those Chinese who want to get separated from their blood brothers. Who wants to see bloodshed in a brotherhood of war?

I believe China can do that. China can win the ROC by diplomacy. China just needs the motivation and determination.
