Well last I checked the last civil war happened because a bunch of racist white men wanted to maintain the evil that is slavery. And the last great depression there was no civil war. If there is ever a depression the worst you would see is crime getting out of control. In times of crisis the nation get together and plus the Federal govt is more stronger then it was during the depression.
Concerning the FBI yeah they missed the 9/11 attacks but that is not to say they do not watch all the militia and hate groups. If for example Russia was arming the Michigan militia the FBI would know.They have informants in all these groups and watch them very closely. And in a post 9/11 world you bet the FBI is much more alert to allow a foreign entity arm or fund a militia. If not then a foreign entity would have done it by know.

This happens in every Presidential election year when a candidate is defeated, some of the depressed supporters apply for foreign immigration.

many of my american friends hinted me 2013 civil war in making, It's not a myth American public is fed up and large ammunition that general public holds shows a significant sign.

3 states now have over 25K, 2 are borderline at 24K, 3 more are at 22K and a bunch more at 16K. In a couple of days at least half the petitions will have over 25K.

Texas is very close to 100000 signatures.

my point is that we all are humans and prone to mistakes, can we rule out the possibility of a civil war in any part of the world? No i would say, can we rule out the possibility of terrorism in any part of the world? No would be my answer again. These petitions might not result in anything but they do show the seed of anger and defiance is sown which i have never seen before in USA. Since i am not a citizen so i might be wrong in assuming that this is the first time something like has happened.

Anyway, the president of the Texas Nationalist Movement said they've done polls and they think they could get a majority vote for seperation if it comes down to a referendum.
